Writers 4 Utopia

Writers 4 Utopia began meeting in Winter of 2017 and continues to meet every other Wednesday, 7pm to 9pm at Spartacus Books. An accessibility audit of Spartacus Books can be found here.

Everyone is welcome at our meetings, including new members, at any level of interest and experience as a writer. We are a queer-focused writing practice group, with an emphasis on sci-fi, speculative fiction, and the weird. We get together to discuss our work, offer feedback and support, participate in generative writing exercises, and learn new skills. We put out zines on an irregular basis - the next is scheduled for a December 1 submission date with a January release date. You can find our previous zines at Spartacus Books, White Dwarf Books, the Vancouver Public Library and Out on the Shelves library at UBC.
